Offsite Backup
Offsite backups are a type of data protection that provides a copy of a business’ production system data, which is stored in a different location from where the original data is stored.
Offline backup strategy does not use software or the cloud. Instead, this type of backup copies data to a location that is accessible when a computer doesn’t have an internet connection.
One of the primary reasons why backup media should be stored offsite is to protect against a complete crash of your system. In a perfect world, your server would always be reachable and would never experience system software, web server, or database server failures.
